Blender
A kitchen appliance used to mix ingredients or puree food. The term typically refers to a stationary, upright electrical device, which is to be distinguished from a hand-powered or electric mixer that may be used for similar purposes. The blending container can be made of glass, plastic, stainless steel, or porcelain, and often has graduated markings for approximate measuring purposes. At the top of the container is a lid to prevent ingredients from escaping during operation. At the bottom is a blade assembly, sometimes removable for cleaning purposes. In cases where the blades are removable, the container should have an o-ring between the body of the container and the base to seal the container and prevent the contents from leaking. The container rests upon a base that contains a motor for turning the blade assembly and has controls on its surface. Most modern blenders offer a number of possible speeds.

Meat Tenderizer Tool
A meat tenderizer is also known as a meat mallet, and is a product used for tenderizing slabs of meat in preparation for cooking the meat. Generally, it looks like a hammer with rows of small pyramid spikes on the ends. Tenderizing the meat with the mallet softens the fibers making the meat easier to chew. It is useful when preparing steak that is of low quality, and works well when broiling or frying the meat.

Egg Cutter
A small hand tool used to lop the top off of a soft boiled egg. To use, slide the round opening over the top of the egg (it is useful to have the egg seated in an egg cup). Squeeze the two finger rings together. Small "teeth" that are hidden inside the round opening crack through the egg shell. The top of the shell is then removed and the egg is ready to scoop out and eat.
